Enjoy Your Stay

The Remington Room is located in the carriage house and attached to the main Inn via a hallway off the kitchen. An example of rustic charm, the room is painted in a Navaho white with white trim and has exposed post and beams original to the carriage house construction. The artwork throughout the room is all original Remington prints. With a westerly facing window, enjoy prolonged shade in the room at morning if desired, or raise the blinds for a view overlooking the park-like grounds and the in-ground swimming pool.

The room is furnished with a queen pencil-post bed, draped with white linen and thick pillows. There is a cherry bureau and armoire closet for clothing storage and two wing back chairs for watching television or reading a book.

The large, private ensuite bathroom has white wainscoting, a pedestal sink and a large Kohler tub/shower combined. There is a unique, horizontal window along the northern bathroom wall. The window has been upgraded to energy efficient standards, but the size, location and its horizontal orientation remain original to the carriage house construction. It’s unclear as to why it was built that way, but it is a fact, that the bathroom of the Remington room was once the portion of the original carriage house that served as the outhouse. It’s come full circle!
